The Challenge

As business grew, Excel Labs was facing issues in their day to day business needs like:

• Maintaining Single Patient Profile
• Sampling, Accessioning and Collection
• Samples Tracking with Accuracy
• Manual Test Execution
• Additional time required for Results verification and counter checking
• Manual Reports Preparation
• Reports Distribution without any notification to the patient
• Cumbersome Synchronization of data of various collection points
• Low productivity, issues with results accuracy
• High Patients turnover
• Lack of automation causing limited visibility of overall business

The Solution

Excel Labs discussed their business challenges with our team and requested to revamp its legacy application. After analyzing their business requirements, our business analysts and system architects decided to build a new and scalable application in latest technologies while keeping their existing data intact.

We designed a multi layered enterprise application with highly flexible and scalable architecture covering end to end automation of their complete business processes. This application is interfaced with machines for real-time test execution and automated report generation based on extensive healthcare knowledge base. It further facilitates pathologists with computer aided decision making at the time of verification of results for accuracy and timely completion of tasks.

Our solution allows high throughput data acquisition using concurrent algorithms specifically designed for Excel labs. The data acquisition systems gather data from multiple sources including test machines and handover to parallel processing technique and analysis algorithms to generate and validate the final output.

State of the art notification system including SMS and Email notifications makes the system highly efficient and optimized to deliver the results on the website or handheld devices as soon as they are generated and approved.

The successes of this application not only improved their visibility across whole business but also increased their revenue. At the start of this project Excel Labs was doing business with its 5 collection points spread over Rawalpindi and Islamabad region. After the successful launch of the software now the total numbers of points are 26 covering 6 cities across the country within just 4 years.
